"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."
- Leo F. Buscaglia
How can you relate to this quote? Did it remind you of a particular experience in the past? Share! :)

This blog is perfect! I love finding quotes and sayings on the internet, so this was really great to see. I love the font you chose for the title and the text. I also like the birds that are on the screen. It is a clean and simple blog. The quote you chose for your first post was simple and true. People take for granted all the little things in life. Having someone listen to you are smile at you can turn someone’s day around. I can relate to this quote because I know when I’m having a bad day and someone is there for me, I feel better. I don’t always realize how important a smile or a friendly face can be.
ReplyDeleteI love this blog and the idea behind it! So many people look to inspiration quotes to relate to. I think that this quote is so true. Even something as small as a smile can go a long way, you never know what someone else is going through. Life is to short to be mean and miserable. Why not brighten up someone's day with something so simple? I also believe in karma. What goes around comes around. This quote is a perfect. Brighten someone's day and someone can brighten up yours!
ReplyDeleteHi Steffi! I really love your blog: very creative! The layout is really nice too. It's simple, clean, and there are still some minor details (the birds). The picture goes very well with the quote. There are so many things that are always going on in our lives. We all need to take some time out of our lives everyday to stop and look at the little things in life because many times, it is the little things in life that matters and makes the biggest differences. And the quote even goes further into that talking about the smallest ACT can make the biggest difference. We should try to make it our mission to do something nice to a person we don't know each and every day.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great blog! The image and quote displayed makes for a perfect introduction to the ideas that will be presented, and the feelings that will be expressed. I think a lot of people will enjoy this blog because there is heavy demands for quotations and poems that people can relate to. When you're in a particular state of mind reading or hearing something that complements or opposes your feelings can be so powerful. The purpose of this blog and the layout work really well together and gives viewers a sense of relaxation, hope, etc. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI love this! It's so adorable and honestly inspiring! I love to read different quotes and see how they make someone think or change their view on something! I think this particular quote is really inspiring because in today's world we hear so much devastating news about danger, unacceptance, suicides, depression etc. I personally heard a story once of the man who was planning his suicide by jumping off the bridge but would not commit the act if one person smiled at him on his way to the bridge.. and noone did!! can you believe that? out of the hundreds of people that he probably passed on his way there...noone even acknowledged him! I think it's so sad... I think that the smallest act of kindness makes the biggest changes in peoples lives..whether its a helpful hand or listening ear...everyone has difficulties..but not everyone needs to have a cold heart...
ReplyDeleteI like this blog idea because there's some real substance to it. While blogs like mine (about food) are nice and all, sometimes it's good to have some quiet reflection time which your blog definitely provokes. I like the idea of putting different quotes up. Sometimes they can be cheesy, but at other times, they really make us think. This quote is especially nice because I think we get so caught up in our own lives and how busy we are that we really neglect those around us and we forget how much one simple act of kindness can do for another. In a selfish world like we live in today, a helping hand goes a long way. I think part of the problem is that we think a small gesture won't do anything bit or drastic, but it does. One small gesture can cause a chain effect as well and soon enough, we'll be living in a kind and compassionate world, rather than a selfish one!
